What about melting sea ice and declining numbers of whale calves, walruses, and baby seals for polar bears to eat as global warming really kicks in? Now hopefully you see thing coming together. People are animals, and polar bears eat animals. When they run out of baby whales to eat, polar bears will naturally go to populated areas like golf courses where the will eat the corporate elite until they do something to promote global cooling and bring back more delicious (albeit cloned) baby whales.
